Introduction About Saws.
The Seasonal Agricultural Workers' Scheme (SAWS) provides farmers and growers in the UK with a source of overseas labour to meet their unmet demand for seasonal workers. The Seasonal Agricultural Workers' Scheme (SAWS) allows movement of young people from across Europe to the UK to work in agriculture & horticulture and in particular to help with the seasonal harvests. The principles and features of the Scheme have remained largely unchanged since its inception.
SAWS operates all year and participants are recruited from Bulgaria & Romania for farmers and growers who require seasonal labour from 3-6 months. This also allows participants to meet the required work in the UK, learning about modern farming, the culture of the UK, improving on your English language, meeting new friends, visiting places of interest on days off and lastly of all earning money throughout the participants stay here in the UK.
The scheme is managed by the UKBA, which appoints Operators to administer the scheme on its behalf. SASTAK is one of the appointed scheme Multiple Operators, where this means we can recruit to a number of different farmers/growers throughout the UK and place workers on these farms.
Sastak has a limited number of work cards available each year which means every year we have more applicants apply than work cards SASTAK have to offer. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to issue you a work card for one of our placements required but SASTAK will always try their best to help.
Are you looking for a change? Why not recruit a SAWS worker from Romania or Bulgaria for your business requirements by contacting or emailing the office.
