Who owns the machinery?
YOU -All machinery if owned by individual members. Sastak registers therse on a central database. Suppliers are free to offer whatever they like, to whoever they choose, with or without operators.
What about damage?
COVERED - With contracting work the maintenance and repairs of the machinery is the responsibility of the supplier. Sastak provide legal hire agreements to cover insurance and safeguard payment for damageoccurred with self drive machinery/hired out equipment.
What about Insurance?
COVERED-All members are required to inform their insurers that they have joined a Machinery Ring and take out appropriate cover for any work they expect to do.
What if there is a dispute?
BACK UP-The Chief Executive will attempt to resolve disputes and in the event of failure the Board's decision will be fimal.
Will I lose my independence?
NO - All members are free to offer as much or as little of their time and equipment as they wish. Clients can specify who they would prefer to carry out a job. Likewise suppliers may decline work offered.
Can I still use my existing Contractor?
YES - You are free to do so but we would expect you to let Sastak quote you for any new work.
How far will I be expected to travel?
UP TO YOU - most work is carried out within a 10-mile radius.
Won't everyone want the same thing at the same time?
NO - Obviously there are some strong seasonal demands for some services, but Sastak has a good record of finding "the impossible". The diversity of altitude, soil types and enterprises an the Sastak area often mean some areas are working at different timesfrom others and there is usually someone available.
