"Machinery Ring" is somewhat misleading and restricting. However Machinery Rings were set up in Germany in the 1950's and there are now hundreds throughout the world and the name has stuck.

Sastak developed the core Machinery Ring business in the 1990's andthe idea behind it was to make the most efficient use of labour and machinery by matching  a shortage of labour and machinery on some farms with a surplus on other farms.

Sastak has developed to do so much more to help big and small farm businesses run profitabely. Businesses from other sectors are also seeing the benefits of Sastak membership, by utilising rural skills and equipoment.
