ELEGIBILITY


BULGARIA AND ROMANIA  New rules in 2008
To be eligible for the scheme you must be an eligible worker from Romania or Bulgaria and be 18 years of age or over on arrival to the UK. You may work for us from 12 weeks up to 26 weeks but you can apply to take part in the scheme after a gap of 3 months. You will be subject to the same Tax and National Insurance Rules as all other UK Citizens.


Do I qualify

To be accepted on SAWS you must meet the following criteria;

  Be aged 18 years or over at the time of
  starting work on SAWS
  
  Must be a Bulgarian or Romanian National
 
  Must not have taken part in SAWS within the 
  last 3 months

If you are found sucsessful you will be informed in writing and a work card will be produced. This is normally sent to your employer unless requested otherwise.

You need to be aware that you can only work for the named person on your Work Permit (unless the placement has been arranged by Sastak and UKBA)
